Cuffless blood pressure, in development

Continuous blood pressure for every bedside patient.

Cuffless monitoring that tracks arterial pressure beat by beat. No cuff to inflate every fifteen minutes, and no arterial line to place.

THE PROBLEM

Blood pressure changes between cuff readings.

On most hospital floors, a cuff measures pressure every 15 to 60 minutes. Arterial lines give the continuous picture but are invasive and reserved for the sickest patients. Everyone in between is monitored in snapshots.

Nursing time that adds up

Every manual reading means walking to the bedside, placing the cuff, waiting for it to cycle and charting the result. On short-staffed units, that is time taken from everything else nurses need to do.

Cuffs that wake patients

Overnight checks mean an inflating cuff squeezing the arm in the middle of the night. Patients lose the sleep they need to recover, and every reading is still just a snapshot.

THE TECHNOLOGY

From fingertip pulse to arterial pressure, every beat.

A comfortable, noninvasive sensor reads the pulse continuously, and our models turn it into beat-by-beat blood pressure that streams to the bedside monitor and the health record.
